From the Frontlines to the Forefront of Research:

Win the CRB-1 Robotic Platform for Your Lab.

CB Industrial is awarding one student team a state-of-the-art CRB-1 robotics system to power their next breakthrough academic project.

About the CRB-1 Platform:

Engineered from real-world Bomb Squad operations, the CRB-1 (derived from combat-proven explosive ordnance disposal systems deployed globally, including in Ukraine) represents the pinnacle of rugged robotics. Its mechanical architecture incorporates design principles refined through years of intense field deployment. We've optimized this technology specifically for researchers, providing academic institutions with unparalleled access to field-proven engineering.

  • Reliability under demanding constraints.
  • Maintainability in austere conditions.
  • Robust mobility across varied terrain.

The Competition:

We are looking for the brightest minds in academic robotics. Pitch us your most innovative, ambitious research project that leverages the extreme capabilities of the CRB-1. One winning student team will be granted a CRB-1 platform to bring their research to life.

1. Eligibility & Jurisdictional Compliance

The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate student teams currently enrolled at an accredited academic institution. All teams must have a dedicated Faculty Advisor who agrees to oversee the project and take receipt of the CRB-1 on behalf of the academic institution.

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that the import, possession, and operation of the CRB-1 platform is strictly legal within their country and local jurisdiction.

If the platform is deemed illegal or restricted to the extent that delivery is impossible in the winning team's country, the grant will be immediately forfeited, and CushyBots reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

2. Application Window

Applications open at 12:00 AM EDT on June 1, 2026, and close at 11:59 PM EDT on June 15, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

3. Judging Criteria

  • Innovation & Academic Merit: Does the project advance the field of robotics or a related discipline?
  • Utilization of the Platform: Does the project specifically benefit from the CRB-1’s unique EOD-derived, ruggedized capabilities?
  • Feasibility: Is the project realistic within the proposed timeline and team capabilities?

4. The Grant

One (1) winning team will receive one (1) CRB-1 robotic platform for use in their proposed academic project. The grant is awarded to the academic institution for the use of the specific student team.

1. Judging & Award Discretion

CushyBots (Cushybots Corporation USA) is the sole judge and arbiter of this competition. The selection of the winning proposal is entirely at the discretion of CushyBots. All decisions are final and binding.

CushyBots reserves the right not to award the grant if no submissions meet the desired criteria.

2. Production & Delivery Timelines

The CRB-1 platform is a complex, newly established production platform. The estimated delivery time for the grant is between six (6) to eight (8) months from the commencement of the competition.

CushyBots makes no legally binding guarantees regarding the exact delivery date and shall not be held liable for academic delays resulting from production or shipping schedules.

3. Limitation of Liability

The CRB-1 is derived from heavy-duty, real-world operational hardware. By accepting the grant, the winning institution and team members agree to assume all risks associated with the operation, maintenance, and storage of the platform.

Cushybots Corporation USA shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other damages arising from the use or misuse of the CRB-1 platform.

4. Export Control, Customs, and Compliance

  • Customs and Import Duties: The winning institution is solely responsible for navigating all import procedures and must bear 100% of the costs associated with customs clearance, import taxes, tariffs, and shipping duties in their destination country.
  • Regulatory Compliance: The winning institution assumes full responsibility for compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws regarding the import, use, transfer, and security of the platform.

Cushybots Corporation USA accepts no liability for platforms seized or delayed by international customs authorities.

5. Promotional Rights

While the academic institution and students retain all intellectual property rights to the research generated from their project, by entering the competition, participants grant CushyBots the right to use their team name, institution name, project abstract, and subsequent project media for promotional and marketing purposes.

6. "As-Is" Provision

The granted CRB-1 platform is provided "AS-IS" for research and educational purposes. Cushybots Corporation USA makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform's fitness for a particular purpose outside of standard operational limits.

7. Forfeiture

If the winning team or institution cannot cover the necessary customs fees, cannot legally import the device, or fails to meet the regulatory requirements of their host nation, the grant is forfeited.

In the event of forfeiture, CushyBots reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to award the platform to a runner-up.
